The Carriage and Western Art Museum

Founded in 1972, The Carriage and Western Art Museum of Santa Barbara and is located in Pershing Park near the waterfront in Santa Barbara, CA. The Museum is open daily from 9 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday for unassisted tours. On the 3rd Sunday of the month docent tours are available without reservations from 1pm to 4pm and you can enter the museum via the front gate. We also offer private tours for schools and groups by reservation.  You will need to call the museum between the hours of 9am and 3 pm weekdays. Admission is FREE.

Saddle Collection

The Saddle Collection consists of over 50 saddles once belonging to famous people, such as  Cisco Kid, Will Rogers, Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart and many others.  Also, check out the Bridle Collection.

Carriage Collection

The stagecoach was an important form of transportation from Santa Barbara to Los Olivos during 1861-1901. A team of six horses pulled the twelve passenger coach up the famous Slippery Rock route.
